Savourez !

Sandra

***********

Welcome to Les Equilibristes, a podcast about what it means to lead a full life, juggling with kids, work, and all the other parts of our lives that make them worthwhile and fun. My name is Sandra Fillaudeau, I am your host. Les Equilibristes is a French expression, meaning “tightrope walkers”, and is a way of expressing this idea I care deeply about as a working and ambitious parent of two young kids: always moving forward, testing, learning, falling and getting back up. Movement is how we find a sense of balance. I am on a mission to reconsider the way we think of work-life balance, and constantly looking for a more accurate way of coining a topic I have been passionate about ever since my son was born in 2014, and my work responsibilities increased at the same time. These discussions span many topics, from the most intimate, to company and public policies. My guests are women, men, experts and leaders – they all have a role to play in the way we lead full, enriching lives.

A year ago, I launched Conscious Cultures, a consulting firm that helps companies better understand their talents’ needs to tailor a more suited and inclusive experience for them.

We are here to explore, together, and I would love to hear from you: feel free to email me with suggestions, comments, ideas.

Now let’s talk about today’s episode:

Today’s guest is Nicole Whiting, a master life and movement coach known to her clients as the “life pacer.” A serial entrepreneur, mother of two, Ironwoman, and competitive ultrarunner—she’s as fierce a leader as they come.

I was lucky enough to have been coached by her, as part of Sasha Heinz's beautiful group coaching program. Nicole has a way of finding words, metaphors, that resonate deeply. This episode is full of them. We talked about living life fully, in color rather than in black in white, about how ultrarunning has been the vehicle for the most profound learning in her life. We talked a lot about exploring, and curiosity, what it means to have our own backs, what it looks like to show up with self-compassion. And maybe most importantly, we talked about our need for human connection.

I am grateful she took the time to share her experience and thrilled to be sharing our conversation. I'm sure you'll find many ideas to nurture.

Enjoy!

Sandra
